My new poetry chapbook is now ready to share, and I'm so excited! An earlier version of this was posted during the Poetry Friday Roundup a couple of weeks ago... but now the chapbook has been polished for typos, formatting, and other little things that make it a better reading experience.
What May Not Be Erased: A Chapbook of Protest Poetry is an archive of 20 things the Trump administration threatened before May 8, 2025. Each poem was written in conversation with a public domain image from a federal website or archive, and paired with additional information about the topic of the poem and image itself.
These poems were deeply personal to write, and I am very proud to share it with you now. Without further ado...
What May Not Be Erased Reading Version - This PDF is set up to display pages in pairs, as the chapbook is intended to be read with the information about the poems on the left, and the poems themselves on the right.
What May Not Be Erased Printable Booklet - This PDF is designed to make it easy to print the file as a booklet, and can also be used to print select pages should you wish. If you're printing a booklet, make sure to select your program's booklet printing option, with double-sided printing and binding on the short edge selected. (I print booklets using Adobe Acrobat Reader, but you use whatever works for you!)
This is a book of protest poetry, and I would love to see it find as many readers as possible. Because all the images are in the public domain, I am able to make this chapbook free to download, print and distribute. I hope you will read it, and if you find something of value in its pages that you will share it with your community. If you would like to receive free printed copies to have and share, please reach out to me via my contact form.
