Contest for Teachers and a New Website!

Welcome to my new website, featuring the brand new cover of Hidden City: Poems of Urban Wildlife. I'm so excited to be able to share this site with you. I hope you enjoy poking around.

Today, I am launching a contest for teachers! To celebrate the upcoming release of Hidden City, I'm giving away three virtual classroom visits. I will chat with each winning class for up to an hour via Skype during April-- the month we celebrate both poetry and Earth Day. I'll work with each winning teacher ahead of time to tailor the visit to the needs of their classroom.

If you are a teacher, enter the drawing by contacting me via my online form. In your message, please include your name, school, school location, and the grade you teach. All entries must be received by March 14th, 2018. Winners will be selected by a random drawing and announced on March 16th, 2018.

I have had so many amazing teachers in my life, and I am grateful to each and every one. This contest is one way that I am trying to give back. If you aren't a teacher, please join me in my teacher appreciation effort by spreading the word about this contest to the teachers in your life.
